AK “pistols” of any kind have no practical advantages over a similar AK model with a stock with the possible exception of being smaller and easier to hide.

AK pistols exist only because of a quirk of US law. In the US, a rifle with a stock must have minimum barrel length of 16 inches. As a result, the shooter winds up holding it by the grip and forend with no real support. This can be mitigated to a degree with a sling, but it’s still not ideal.
